In my professional life I had other businesses. Some were profitable, some were not. That’s why I kept searching for a better business.
And one day, after several businesses, I found it.
Let me tell you, it wasn’t a well planed business. No, it really just happened.
I started a clothing business, selling clothes to a teen public in a store (brick and mortar).
I was selling pants, sweaters, skirts, and so on. But the main product was t-shirts. In fact, more than 60% of my sales were made with t-shirts and sweat-shirts.
But there was a problem, it was difficult to find someone who could print the t-shirts. In reality, there are a lot of t-shirt printers in my country, but all of them wanted big quantities per design. And I could not buy big quantities.
And the reason was because I had only three stores, and I had to keep adding new designs every season.
Short story, I bought a printing equipment and started to print my own t-shirts.
It was not immediate success (overnight success is overrated), but the business started to take off. And after a year, the business was very, very profitable.
That’s it, the best small business, in my modest opinion is opening a t-shirt store. It can be a brick and mortar store, an online store, or even a mobile store. It can be a profitable business.
But why many t-shirt businesses fail?
Yes, it’s true. A lot of t-shirt businesses fail. And the main reason is because people do it the wrong way. Or to be more exact, they do it the wrong ways. Because there are hundreds of bad ways to make a t-shirt business.
I have been lucky and persistent. And that’s what made it possible to reach success. There are other smart people failing at businesses because they don’t have the time, or money, to keep trying until they find success.

Opening a t-shirt store is a low investment business. It is also a easy business to learn. And you don’t need to know how to print t-shirts. I don’t do that anymore.
